This depends on the size of your organisation and the standard you choose. For an average small or medium-sized organisation, the process from preparation to certification usually takes three to six months. This includes implementing the management system and completing the certification audit.
Costs vary considerably based on the size of your organisation, the number of locations and the standard you choose. Annual audit costs for a small or medium-sized organisation are generally between €2,000 and €5,000. If you hire a consultant, there may also be one-off implementation costs.
This is not mandatory, but it can make the process considerably faster. A consultant can help you set up your management system and prepare for the audit. This is often valuable for organisations without in-house quality expertise.
The best-known standards include ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 27001 for information security and ISO 14001 for environmental management. There are also sector-specific standards such as NEN 7510 for healthcare information security and ISO 22000 for food safety. We help you find the right match.
