SSVV has published VCU 2026/6.0, the updated Safety and Health Checklist for Temporary Employment Agencies. The scheme replaces VCU 2011/05 and will come into force on 1 January 2028. Temporary employment agencies, hiring organisations and certification bodies can use the period until then to prepare for the new requirements.
The cooperation between the temporary employment agency, the hiring organisation and the temporary worker is central to the updated scheme. Each party has its own role and responsibility. Clear agreements and the timely transfer of information should ensure that it is clear what is expected of each party and that temporary workers can start work safely and healthily.
The Temporary Workers Risk Scan has an important place within VCU 2026/6.0. With this scan, the parties involved jointly identify risks, control measures, responsibilities and agreements, and discuss them with one another. The scan supports both documentation and cooperation in practice.
According to SSVV, VCU 2026/6.0 is better aligned with VCA 2026/6.1. This creates greater coherence between the two systems and enables temporary employment agencies and hiring organisations to better align their roles, responsibilities and information exchange.
Organisations can use the period until 1 January 2028 to identify the implications for their processes, working methods and record-keeping. They can also make information about risks, measures and agreements available clearly and in good time. Certification bodies can prepare for audits according to the new requirements.
