The Health & Safety (HSE) Adviser strengthens health, safety, quality and the environment within an international technical environment. The role focuses on managing the HSEQ management system, translating legislation into work procedures, carrying out risk assessments and inspections, and delivering training. The work is carried out on a hybrid basis, with regular attendance at locations in the Netherlands and Belgium.
What will you do?
- Managing and improving the HSEQ management system and its associated documentation.
- Translating and embedding national and European legislation in practical work procedures and systems.
- Carrying out risk assessments and safety inspections.
- Investigating incidents and following up on corrective actions.
- Developing and delivering HSE training.
- Advising employees and management at various levels.
- Maintaining systems and reports.
- Developing HSE programmes and implementing improvements.
What do they ask?
- Higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level, preferably in Health & Safety.
- At least five years’ experience in a comparable technical role.
- Knowledge of relevant HSE legislation.
- Practical experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Ability to persuade, deliver training and engage stakeholders in changes.
- Independent, proactive and structured approach to work.
- Ability to handle administration and reporting, and collaborate with local and international colleagues.
