McLaing is looking for an HSE Specialist Occupational Health & Safety and Prevention for a client in the Western Port Area of Amsterdam. You will work on creating a safe and healthy working environment at a terminal by managing occupational health and safety policy, improving safety processes and increasing employees’ and contractors’ safety awareness.
What will you do?
- Implementing, monitoring and optimising occupational health and safety policy
- Advising on working conditions, safety and legislation
- Organising and conducting safety observation rounds and awareness sessions
- Preparing and managing occupational health and safety-related documentation, including RI&E’s
- Managing and analysing incident and accident statistics and reports
- Supporting Management of Change and Task Risk Analyses
- Participating in internal audits and advising on areas for improvement
- Contributing to projects from an occupational health and safety perspective
What do they ask?
- Completed education in safety management, such as HVK or MVK, or equivalent experience
- Thorough knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and experience applying it in practice
- Strong analytical skills
- Proactive approach to work
- Good communication skills to advise and persuade employees and stakeholders
- Affinity with an industrial environment
- Eagerness to learn and willingness to attend training courses and programmes
