About this vacancy
The QHSE advisor works at a storage terminal for liquid chemicals and biofuels in the Botlek area of Rotterdam. You advise management and colleagues on quality, health, safety and the environment, and manage and develop the QHSE management system. In addition, you carry out risk analyses and accident investigations, support audits and certification processes, and organise emergency drills and training.
What will you do?
- Managing and further developing the quality, safety and environmental management system
- Preparing, carrying out and updating RI&E assessments and risk documentation
- Leading accident investigations and analysing incidents
- Preparing for and supporting audits, certification processes and government inspections
- Setting up and coordinating emergency drills for BHV and ISPS
- Managing the registration of accidents and near misses
- Preparing reports and improvement actions for management
- Organising toolbox meetings and developing e-learning and training materials
What do they ask?
- At least higher professional education (HBO) level of thinking and working, with a qualification in safety management or a technical field
- Several years of demonstrable experience as a QHSE advisor or in a comparable industrial role
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and of Seveso, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
- Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken
- Practical experience with RI&E, incident analysis, audits, MOC and setting up drills
- Decisive and entrepreneurial attitude
- Strong powers of persuasion and the ability to guide change
