Vogten Staal is looking for a QHSE Manager to further develop, monitor and improve quality, safety and the environment within the steel service centre in Maastricht. You will manage the QHSE management system, support audits, lead the implementation of ISO 45001 and advise management and operations on risks and improvements.
What will you do?
- Manage and continuously improve the QHSE management system.
- Monitor quality in accordance with IATF 16949 and the environment in accordance with ISO 14001.
- Lead the implementation of ISO 45001.
- Support internal and external audits and follow up on improvement measures.
- Monitor legislation and regulations, permits and compliance.
- Investigate incidents and initiate preventive safety measures.
- Advise management and operations on QHSE risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Functionally manage the Safety Coordinator and coordinate QHSE improvement projects.
What do they ask?
- You have a higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking and hold an MVK or HVK qualification.
- You have at least five years’ experience in an industrial production environment, preferably in steel processing, metal or heavy industry.
- You have extensive knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
- Knowledge of or experience with ISO 45001 is an advantage.
- You are familiar with relevant occupational health and safety and environmental legislation and have experience with permits and contacts with government authorities.
- You have an excellent command of Dutch.
- Experience with audits and a Lead Auditor qualification are a strong advantage.
- You are analytical, strategic, practical and decisive, and able to engage people at different levels.
