The QHSE Manager monitors and improves environmental, health, safety and quality matters within an industrial manufacturer of circular lead sheet in Rijswijk. The role includes managing environmental permits, controlling risks relating to lead exposure, improving the HSEQ management system and carrying out internal audits.
What will you do?
- Monitoring and improving environmental, health, safety and quality matters
- Managing environmental permits and maintaining contact with supervisory authorities
- Co-ordinating blood measurements and analysing trends relating to lead exposure
- Proposing preventive measures
- Initiating and leading process improvements within HSEQ
- Safeguarding and improving the HSEQ management system
- Carrying out internal audits and conducting the management review
- Advising, informing and training colleagues and management, and maintaining contact with external stakeholders
What do they ask?
- A completed higher professional education (HBO) or university degree in environmental science, Chemical Engineering, Safety Science or a comparable field
- At least five years’ experience in a similar role within industry
- Up-to-date knowledge of environmental and occupational health and safety legislation
- Experience with permit procedures
- You switch easily between strategy and practice
- You are analytically strong, independent and proactive
- You communicate effectively
- You are proficient in Dutch
