The People Co. is recruiting a Quality Assurance Manager in Rotterdam for an international food manufacturer. You will lead the quality management system and food safety programmes at the production site and monitor compliance with customer, statutory and certification requirements. You will also work with operational teams, customers, auditors and regulators to build a strong quality and food safety culture.
What will you do?
- Lead and manage the quality management system at the production site.
- Manage food safety programmes, including HACCP, VACCP and TACCP.
- Manage internal audit programmes and support customer, certification and external audits.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain quality standards for continuous improvement.
- Support product development and change management.
- Manage traceability, product recalls and withdrawal programmes.
- Analyse quality KPIs and report to management.
What do they ask?
- A bachelor's or postgraduate qualification in food technology, chemistry, biotechnology or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in quality assurance within food manufacturing.
- Experience managing quality and food safety management systems.
- Good knowledge of audits, food safety standards, quality systems and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with customer complaints, CAPAs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach.
- Strong communication skills and experience in stakeholder management.
- A collaborative leadership style and the ability to develop and support others.
